Management/Administration

In the context of the NFDI4Earth Synthesis Architecture, management and administration refer to the roles, tools, and systems that structure and coordinate access to, processing of, and long-term handling of Earth System Science (ESS) data. This building block supports efficient and sustainable data workflows by enabling:

• Organized submission and curation of research data
• Efficient resource usage through reduction of redundancy
• Controlled access and role-based permissions
• Monitoring and logging of data processes
• Policy-compliant metadata and storage structures

The primary goal is to maintain data quality, traceability, and accessibility, while ensuring that data management tasks are embedded into scientific workflows with minimal overhead.
